The actress is currently starring as Amantha Holden on the Sundance Channel Drama series Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer works as an actress in both films and on television. Her appearances in the drama series Rectify and the sci-fi programme Timeless became a hit. She is a native of Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was first introduced to acting with the soap opera All My Children. The show's performance earned her the Soap Opera Digest Award' for Outstanding Female Newcomer. In the following years she mostly played guest parts on various television series. Her popularity was rewarded for the role she played as The Dr. Erin Jameson in the drama series Hawthorne. Her character slowly gained a huge audience thanks to her amazing look and flawless acting talents. In the movie Campfire Stones, she played in the role as a 20-year-old. In addition, she has appeared in Jekyll This Means War, Chasing Mavericks and a variety of other films. She was nominated for the Madrid International Film Festival Award for her performance in the movie Beautiful Now'. The most recent role she has played on TV is in the role as a professor of history Lucy Preston in the sci-fi TV show Timeless. Spencer has received a positive review from critics for her role in the sci-fi TV series Timeless. She was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
